Top city spots in Virginia Beach, USA

Virginia Beach is the ideal city destination for beach lovers. But it’s more than just a haven for swimmers and sunbathers! Although the coastline is a top attraction, there are also other great districts worth visiting here.

This lovely metropolis is located in the state of Virginia at the point where Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. Its genuine laid-back atmosphere and slow pace of life make it an ideal place for a mini-break or long holiday. As a coastal city, Virginia Beach has been blessed with beautiful beaches and long scenic boardwalks. It also has neighbourhoods with historical landmarks, brilliant shopping, and vibrant art scenes. Whether it’s surfing at Oceanfront, retail therapy at Inland district, arts and crafts in ViBe Creative District, or the farmer's markets of Pungo - every visitor will find something enjoyable to experience here. Oceanfront is one of the most popular districts in Virginia Beach. In addition to its wide sandy beaches, it has a thriving outdoor cafe society, live music on street corners, and hot dog vendors. Along its famous three-mile boardwalk you will see a constant procession of rollerbladers, joggers, surfers, and cyclists enjoying the day. Head south and follow the signs to Rudee Inlet to book a jet ski, fishing charter, or a restaurant table by the water. If you would like a more peaceful time at the beach then head for Chesapeake Bay. Known affectionately as Chic’s Beach, this seaside district is highly recommended for swimming, volleyball, and a sunset drink looking at Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. A popular attraction here is First Landing State Park, a place of historical interest where English colonists landed in 1607. Today you can enjoy the park for its history, camping sites, hiking trails, and blue waters. During the evenings spend time on Shore Drive, an area with lovely restaurants, breweries, and wine bars. Finally, check out Town center District for fine dining and live entertainment. This neighbourhood lies at the very heart of Virginia Beach and is highly recommended for nightlife and fun. Some of the best venues here include the Sandler Center of the Performing Arts, Zeider's American Dream Theatre, and the Funny Bone Comedy Club.
