Tour highlights include the world’s largest collection of lunar samples and moon rocks. Weekly events include meet and greet sessions with real-life astronauts! Houston’s fascination with space is matched by an enthusiasm for wildlife. Animal lovers will be awed by the exhibits to be found at Houston Zoo and Houston Arboretum and Nature Center. The Downtown Aquarium is something special. A unique underwater adventure featuring a Louisiana swamp, shipwreck, rainforest, and sunken temple, Ferris wheel, and carousel. This is the perfect venue for families with small children. Space and science entwine at the Houston Museum of Natural Science: you can discover enthralling facts about galaxies at the inhouse Planetarium, or you can interact with butterflies in its Butterfly Center. Then science and sport collide at Minute Maid Park, the home to Houston’s Major League Baseball team the Astros.
