Top city spots in Fort Worth, USA

Fort Worth is the epitome of a modern west American city. Cattle drives, art, history, and nights out at the honky-tonk - this is the City of Cowboys & Culture. So grab your roper boots and let’s head out for some fun!

Located only 32 miles west of Dallas, Fort Worth is another Texan city that offers many great tourist attractions. Fort Worth was nicknamed Cowtown for its strong connection with the cattle ranching industry. Although there is much to enjoy cattle-wise in its vicinity, there is also more to discover. So start with immense bovine fun at Fort Worth Stockyards - this is a unique historic district and the last of its kind in the United States. Visitors can step back in time here and experience thrilling cattle round-ups and spend time as a cowboy or cowgirl. The neighbourhood also offers western-themed shopping, rodeos, live music performances, and the Stockyard Museum that details the history of Stockyards. Fort Worth is also home to some wonderful museums of art. Highlights include the Kimbell Art Museum, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and the Sid Richardson Museum which shows work depicting the spirit of the west. The city’s Botanic Garden is one of Fort Worth’s most popular attractions. Covering 109 acres the venue is comprised of 23 individual gardens and over 2,500 species of plants. Visitors can appreciate the Fragrance Garden, the Rose Garden, and the Rain Forest Conservatory, before dining alfresco on the patio. Feeling hot under the Texas sun? Then head downtown to the Fort Worth Water Gardens. This refreshing green space features three pools with fountains and shady areas under oak trees. Highly recommended is a nighttime visit when the gardens are not only fun but beautifully illuminated. More entertainment awaits at Sundance Square, the district of drama, music, and dance. Take in a live performance at Bass Performance Hall or the Circle Theater, or enjoy the atmosphere in Sundance Square Plaza. Finally, end your day at Billy Bob’s Texas, the largest honky-tonk in the world! This amazing nightclub houses a dozen bars, a vast dance floor, and many restaurants serving delicious Texan food. It also has its own indoor rodeo arena! Yeehaw!
