One of the best ways to start your day in this enchanting city is by indulging in a special breakfast that embodies the warmth and flavors of Portugal. These 6 best breakfasts in Lisbon, are a perfect blend of tradition, innovation, and the undeniable charm that this city exudes.

### 1. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/seagullmethodcafe/">Seagull Method Cafe</a>
This breakfast spot is part of a family of delicious restaurants across Lisbon, and it was clear from the line we encountered when we went! Luckily we didn't have to wait too long before we got a table and got the chance to check out their amazing menu. 

I recommend their **Friday Morning breakfast**, but I don't think you could go wrong with anything on their menu!

### 2. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/thefolkslisbon/">The Folks</a>
Another great coffee & breakfast spot with several locations around Lisbon. Offering a range of sweet and savoury options, with some unique twists on popular dishes. 

Although their space is not huge and they don't take reservations, we never had a problem getting a table there. 

Must try: their special **tiramisu latte**!

### 3. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/fora_artisan/">Fora Artisan Pastry</a>
This is the perfect spot for a light morning or midday break. They offer an assortment of delicious and freshly made pastries. Sweet and savoury options, as well as great coffee. 

It is located a little bit outside of the main city centre, but if you choose to walk there, through the steep hills of Lisbon, you will definitely feel like taking a well-deserved break with a little treat. 

One of my favourites here was their **almond croissant**!

### 4. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CvPooxKtQwf/">Liberty Cafe</a>
This spot was one of our go-to's in Lisbon. A specialty coffee shop in the morning and natural wine bar in the evening. Their breakfast menu offers some unique options as well as popular classics. 

My favourite dish here is their super **cheesy French omelette**, which also comes with a side of perfect sourdough bread and a delicious whipped butter.

### 5. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/dearbreakfast/">Dear Breakfast</a>
If you have already started doing some research on Lisbon restaurant recommendations then you've probably heard about this place. This might be one of Lisbon's most popular breakfast spots but that is for a good reason! They offer a range of breakfast options, from **eggs benedict, avocado toast, acai bowls**, and more. There is certainly something for everyone + their coffee is very good. 

As it is a popular spot, there is a chance you might encounter a line depending on the day and time you go. But it is worth it!

### 6. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/manteigaria.oficial/">Manteigaria</a>
Last, but certainly not least, if you want a light but very traditional experience to start your day in Lisbon, you must try the **Pastel de Nata** from Manteigaria. In my opinion, these were the best that I have ever had. They have multiple locations across Lisbon, with open kitchen spaces so you can see them being made fresh. Just buy one (or several), top it with a dash of cinnamon, and an espresso to accompany it. 

These are the perfect little snack to start your day, for a midday break, or even an after-dinner treat. Most of their locations are open from 8am to late in the evening, so you can get your pastel de nata fix at any time of day!
